A prototype doesn't get a pass because it looks good in the morning.
Pros put them on for a full day. Warm-up. Drills. Points. The late session when the legs are heavy and the cuts are late.
What we're watching
Does the foot stay put? Does the ankle feel stacked on a lateral plant? Does the cushioning still pop after three hours? Does the toe start to chew?
If the answer is no to any of that, the pair is dead.
What they tell us
Jonas: most shoes feel like a compromise. This one feels molded to the foot. Direction changes without leaking energy into a roll.
Hendrik: the cushioning soaks up the baseline pounding and still gives pop when you need to move. Best court feel he's had in a shoe.
That's the day. Not a lab. A court.
